The Franchise Process
One Call Gets You Started - Mega Media Xchange has a proven system of opening stores and will guide you through every aspect of starting your own business. Making that first call starts the process. After the initial phone call, and getting to know each other, we'll be pleased to take you through a process that moves you up a learning curve and helps you decide whether Mega Media Xchange is the right choice for you. This process takes time and work on both our parts, and is intended to help us both decide if we are a good match.
Completing the Application - If you are interested in learning more about our franchise after our initial discussion, we request that you complete an Application. It is designed to help you focus on what you really want out of a franchise business and what business model might be right for you, plus providing us with the usual background information about you and your family, including a simple financial review. The Application is available online and is included in the Background Materials that are available to you through the mail upon request. Once we have received the completed Application, it is time to move up the first step on your learning curve and we cannot proceed until it has been complete and delivered to us.
Background Materials - At your option, we will send you a brochure containing a wealth of information about our business model and our Franchise Development Program or the same information is available at any time through this web site.
A to Z Call - After you have reviewed the background materials you may have questions and an interest in learning more about the opportunity they present. If you do not, we wish you much success and are pleased that the process has helped you to decide that we are not right for you. If you are ready for more information, we will arrange a convenient time for a call during which we will answer your questions and give you a lot of additional background information about us, how we do business and about our franchise. At this point, you should be getting a good feeling for our business and are ready to dig further into opportunity it represents for you.
UFOC - If you wish to continue up the learning curve, we will send you the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular, which describes in detail our responsibilities as the Franchisor and your's as a Mega Media Xchange Franchisee and set up a time to review it with you.
Due Diligence - If after that call you are ready to learn what it is like being one of our franchisees, we ask that you contact a number of our current Franchisees to discuss their experiences as part of the system and to learn more about the day-to-day life of a small business owner. At the same time, we will schedule a call to discuss what you learned, answer any additional questions that you have developed, and set a date for completing your investigation of our franchise.
Discovery Day - If you like what you hear from our franchisees, you should have enough information to make a decision. But, before you make that decision, we invite you to Wisconsin to visit our corporate store, and spend some time talking shop and seeing how the business actually operates, plus getting to know one another a little better. Like so many other franchisors, we call this visit Discovery Day.
During your visit, the following areas are covered:
• Company History, Culture and Vision
• Franchisee Training and Education
• Site Selection and Lease Negotiation
• Mega Media Xchange Technology
• Store Space Planning and Design
• Support Services Provided
• Construction and Coordination
• Store Tour
The exchange of information is very important to gain mutual confidence, but it's only part of the purpose of the visit. Another important aspect of Mega Media Xchange’s Discovery Day meeting is to ensure that we have an opportunity to get to know each other, set reasonable expectations and develop a foundation for our relationship to move forward.
Completing the Paper Work - If after you complete Discovery Day you decide that you want to join us as a franchisee, we are required by law to go through a closing process that involves providing you with another copy of the UFOC and all of the documents that you will be required to sign to purchase the franchise. You are encouraged to take both the UFOC and the documents to your financial and legal advisors for review although you are not required to do so. As a part of the closing of this sale, you are required to acknowledge a number of details about our Sales Process that you have just completed and to sign a receipt acknowledging your receipt of all of the documents. We cannot complete the Sales Process until we have both of those items completed and returned to us.
Territory Assignment - Congratulations! If you have completed the paperwork and paid your required fees you are now a Mega Media Xchange Franchisee. The franchise agreement itself will provide you with a protected territory on which we will agree during our review of your market and the site that you select for your Mega Media Xchange Store.
Financing - We will be available to answer any questions that you may have on how to acquire any needed financial assistance.
Site Selection - We will assist you, on location, in selecting the appropriate site for your store. We will also assist you in the process of reaching an agreement on the lease with your landlord.
Training - You will spend up to three weeks at Corporate Store learning from our experts on how to operate a successful store.
Store Opening - A Technical Advisor will spend one to two weeks at your location assisting in the set up. Then a Store Opening Coordinator will spend several days assisting during the opening days of operation.
This entire process usually takes 5-9 months, from that first phone call until you open your doors for business. For more information, don't hesitate to call Doug Kinney at (910) 603-1160.
